Arnold palmer

Teen years 

While playing for the Tatrobe High school golf team, Palmer lost only one match in four years. During
his senior years he meet Bub Worsham, whose brother was a professional golfer. Palmer accepted a golf scholarship at Wake Forest College in North Carolina. During Palmer's senior years in college, Worsham was killed in a car crash. After Worsham's death, Palmer left school and joined the coast guard, In 1954 he won the National Amateur Championship.

Begins pro career

Palmer became a professional golfer in 1954. A mouth later he married Winnie Walzer, he had met while playing in an amateur tournament. In 1955 Palmer won the Canadian Open, earning twenty four hundred dollars. He won three tournaments in 1956 and four in 1957. Palmer became the richest athlete in the world.

  1. Wow, $2400 is not much compared to the money prizes golfers win these days is it?! I wonder how much $2400 would be these days?
    You have quite a short biography. Remember to check our success criteria to fill in the gaps, such as when and where he was born, who his parents were and what they did. What does he do now? Is he alive or dead? After he became the richest athlete in the world, did he go on to do coaching or retire?
